Carpet Cleaning in Bromley Common and Keston, BR1

The right method for every fibre, with no call-out fee.

Carpet cleaning in Bromley Common and Keston

London Carpet Cleaning cleans carpets, sofas and rugs across Bromley Common and Keston, BR2, from £36 a room and touch-dry in 1 to 2 hours. Fixed prices, no call-out fee, and a re-clean guarantee. We have worked these streets since 2009, from the Victorian terraces around Chatterton Road to the big detached houses out by Keston Common.

What Bromley Common and Keston homes are like

This is two characters in one BR2 patch. Bromley Common proper runs along the A21, the old Hastings road, and its housing splits between the Victorian terraced cottages of Chatterton Village, which filled the former Shooting Common from the 1860s, and the bay-fronted villas and turn-of-the-century semis on Mosslea, Balfour, Albert and Salisbury roads and Crown Lane. Holy Trinity church at the Oakley Road junction, built in the early 1840s, still marks the old heart of the place. Head south on the A233 Westerham Road and you reach Keston: part suburban, part rural, sitting on the edge of Hayes Common with its three early-19th-century ponds on Fishponds Road and the post mill on the common. Keston Park, the gated private estate of large detached houses, is a world away from the terraces a mile north, and Keston only joined Greater London in 1965, having been in Kent until then. There is no station in either place. Bromley South and Hayes, the terminus of the Hayes line, are the nearest, so most homes here run on the car and the bus, and a lot of carpet on local roads has the BR2 brand of fine, pale grit walked in from the common and the verges.

What we see across Bromley Common and Keston

The terraced houses near Chatterton Road and Crofton Road tend to have a narrow hall, a steep flight of stairs and one living room that takes the brunt of family life, so the wear shows as a grey traffic lane down the middle of the stairs and a darker path across the lounge. We lift most of that. The larger Keston and Pickhurst Lane homes bring wool carpets, leather suites and rugs that want proper care rather than a quick once-over. Plenty of work here is pet-related too, the cat or dog accident on a bedroom carpet, and we get most of it out. We pass the Crown on the A21 and the Wilberforce Oak above Keston often enough to know the patch, and we treat a two-bed terrace off Crown Lane with the same care as a five-bed on Westerham Road. One honest limit: where a wool carpet has been ground down to the backing in that stair lane over many years, cleaning makes it even and far cleaner, but it cannot put back pile that has already worn away.

Carpet, upholstery and rug cleaning in Bromley Common and Keston

Our main job is hot-water extraction, the steam carpet cleaning that rinses the dirt out and leaves the carpet touch-dry in an hour or two. We also handle sofas and armchairs, fabric and leather, and we take rugs away for a deeper wash and bring them back. We cover the rest of Bromley from here, and neighbouring areas including Sundridge and Plaistow.

Bromley Common and Keston questions, answered

Which BR postcodes do you cover around here?

We cover BR2 across Bromley Common, Keston village, Keston Mark and Keston Park, plus the BR1 streets running back towards Bromley town and Sundridge. If you are near the boundary with Hayes, Locksbottom or Pratts Bottom, we still come to you. Tell us the postcode when you book and we will confirm the slot.

Is parking a problem for the van?

Rarely. The terraced roads off the A21 usually have space on the street, and the larger Keston houses have their own drives. Around Keston Common and the ponds the kerbside parking is free but limited and gets busy at weekends, so for a Saturday job near the common we will agree where to pull up when we call ahead.

Can you get a pet stain out of a bedroom carpet?

Usually, yes. Cat sick and dog accidents are some of our most common calls in BR2, and on most carpets we clear the mark and the smell with an enzyme treatment that breaks down the source rather than masking it. Older or repeated stains that have soaked into the underlay are harder, so it helps to tell us the history when you book.

How long until the carpet is dry?

Most carpets are touch-dry in one to two hours, and you can walk on them in socks straight after. Thick wool or a heavily soiled through-lounge can take a little longer. We open a window or leave a fan running, and in the colder months a quick warm-through of the room speeds things along nicely.

Every clean comes with our re-clean guarantee: if a spot you pointed out comes back, we return and put it right at no charge. We are fully insured and DBS-checked, and we have cleaned carpets, sofas and rugs across Bromley Common and Keston since 2009.

What our customers say in Bromley Common and Keston.

★★★★★
Through lounge done, it's a big room that takes a battering with the grandchildren. Came up beautifully and dried by tea time. The lad was lovely and even moved the heavy furniture back for me. Spot on.

Stairs and landing had a worn grey strip down the middle for years. Looks even now and dried quick. Quick visit, fair price, paid on the spot. Couldn't ask for more from him.

Our leather three seater had gone dull and sticky in places. He cleaned and conditioned it and it looks years younger, feels lovely too. Knew exactly what he was doing with leather. Very pleased, fair money.
Roger LintonPickhurst Lane, BR2 · Leather sofa cleaning
★★★★★
Cat had been sick repeatedly on the bedroom carpet while we were away. Dreaded it. He got the lot out, no mark, no smell. Easy to book and reasonable. Genuinely grateful, will use again.

Two seater and an armchair cleaned, both came up well and smell fresh. The chap was polite. Only gripe is he was a fair bit later than the slot, stuck behind something on the A233 apparently, but he did ring to warn me. Happy with the work.
Maureen CattermoleWesterham Road, BR2 · Sofa & upholstery cleaning

Kitchen tiles and grout cleaned, came up much brighter than I expected. Decent price for the area covered. He forgot to bring shoe covers and had to nip back to the van, minor thing, but otherwise a tidy job and a nice chap.
