Bromley Carpet Cleaning

Carpet cleaning in Bromley

London Carpet Cleaning cleans carpets, sofas and rugs across Bromley, E3, from £36 a room and touch-dry in 1 to 2 hours. Fixed prices, no call-out fee, and a re-clean guarantee. We have worked these streets since 2009, from the Devons Road estates down to the old church ground on the Lea.

What Bromley homes are like

This is the original Bromley, the old hamlet of Bromley-St-Leonard on the west bank of the River Lea, long since folded into Bromley-by-Bow. It is not the Kent suburb that shares the name, and the housing could not be more different. The dominant stock here is flats: post-war council blocks on the Lincoln and Burdett estates around Bow Common, and the large St Andrews development off Devons Road, nearly a thousand homes built on the former St Andrew’s Hospital site with the 27-storey Marner Point at its corner. Between them sit pockets of older terraces on St Leonards Street and the streets off Devons Road.

Transport splits the area in two. Bromley-by-Bow station on the District and Hammersmith and City lines sits on the western edge, while Devons Road DLR, one of the original 1987 stations, serves the estates to the east. The A12 Blackwall Tunnel Approach Road cuts straight through the middle, where it swept away the churchyard of St Leonard’s Priory in the 1960s. That priory was old enough that Chaucer borrowed its Prioress for the Canterbury Tales, which is a longer pedigree than most carpets we meet.

Around Bromley: the local areas we cover

South Bromley is the lower part of the district, the stretch that runs down towards Poplar and the E14 line. It had its own railway station on the old North London line from 1884, set just north of where Langdon Park DLR stands today, long since closed. The housing down here leans more towards the Poplar grain of terraces and low estate blocks, and we cover it on the same fixed prices as the rest of Bromley.

What we see across Bromley

Two jobs come up again and again here. The first is post-build dust: the area is one long regeneration site, and when a fit-out or a neighbour’s renovation finishes, a fine grey film settles into lounge and hallway carpets and brings a dusty smell with it. A hot-water extraction clean pulls that out and the smell goes with it. The second is pets and spills in family flats, corner sofas that the dog has scented, red wine down a staircase after a party, the usual life of a busy home. We get the great majority of that out. The honest limit is on the older estate carpets: where a synthetic pile has been walked flat in the hallway for fifteen years, we will lift the dirt and the smell, but a clean does not put back pile that has already worn away. We will tell you that before we start, not after.

Carpet, upholstery and rug cleaning in Bromley

Most bookings here are carpets, cleaned by hot-water steam extraction that rinses the pile and leaves it touch-dry in a couple of hours. We also clean sofas, corner units and mattresses through our upholstery cleaning service, which is the one to ask for when a pet or a poorly child has got to the cushions. Rugs and hallway runners go back to the workshop for proper rug cleaning and come home rolled and dry. We work the whole of the rest of Tower Hamlets too, from Bow across to Poplar.

Bromley questions, answered

Which streets and postcodes do you cover?

All of the E3 part of Bromley and Bromley-by-Bow, including St Leonards Street, Devons Road, Brunswick Road, Empson Street and Knapp Road, plus the estates around Bow Common and South Bromley down towards the Poplar boundary. If you are near the river or the A12 and unsure which side of E3 you sit on, send the postcode and we will confirm.

Can you park at the estates and tower blocks?

Yes. The streets here fall inside Tower Hamlets Zone B, with controls mainly on weekdays, and we carry our own kit from the van so we rarely need to be at your door. For the St Andrews blocks and the Lincoln and Burdett estates, let us know the entrance and any loading bay or barrier code when you book and we will sort the rest.

Do you handle end-of-tenancy carpets in the new-build flats?

We do a lot of them around Devons Road and the St Andrews homes, where a check-out clean is often the difference on the deposit. We clean the carpets to the standard most agents and the deposit schemes expect, and we can come back inside the guarantee if anything is queried at the inventory.

How long will the carpet take to dry?

Most carpets are touch-dry in one to two hours and fully dry by the evening. Ground-floor flats facing the river or a shaded courtyard can run a little longer, and a thick wool rug longer again. Open a window or leave the heating ticking over and you will be walking on it the same day.

Every clean carries our re-clean guarantee: if a spot lifts back or you are not happy, we come back and put it right. We are fully insured, DBS-checked, and we have been cleaning carpets across Bromley and east London since 2009.

What our customers say in Bromley.

★★★★★
Got the lounge and hallway done after the builders left a film of dust over everything. Carpets came up beautifully and the dusty smell is gone. They worked around our furniture without any fuss.

Booked a deep clean of our mattress after my little one had a tummy bug all over it. Sorted it completely, no stain and no smell. Was dreading buying a new one so this saved us a fortune.

Red wine all down the stairs carpet after a party, my own fault. Rang them in a panic and they fit me in two days later. Got the lot out. Cheers lads.

Lovely job on my hallway runner before Eid. It had years of grime by the door and now the pattern actually shows again. Took it away and dropped it back clean and rolled up neatly.

We had the front room and hallway done before Eid as the whole family was coming over. There was a turmeric stain by the kitchen door that I was sure would never go and it lifted out completely. Booking was easy and he was on time. Really happy, will use again.

Three seater fabric sofa had a stubborn juice stain from the kids and was looking grey all over. He went at it properly and it came back the right colour. Put covers down on the laminate so he wasn't walking dirt about. Sound bloke, fair price.
