Prices and booking
How much does carpet cleaning cost in London?
Carpet cleaning is £36 a bedroom and £43 a living room. A two-seater sofa is £57, rugs start at £35, curtains from £35 a pair, and hard floors from £60. The price depends on the size, the fibre and how soiled things are. There is never a call-out fee.
Is there a call-out fee or a minimum charge?
No call-out fee, ever. You get one fixed price for the whole job, agreed before we start, with nothing added on afterwards. For a single small item we will give you a fair price up front, so a short visit still makes sense for both of us.
How do I get a quote and book?
Tell us the rooms or items, by phone on 020 8077 8090 or through the quote form on this site, and you get a fixed price, usually within the hour. No call-out fee and no obligation. Pick a slot that suits you and we confirm it.
Do I need to move the furniture?
Move what you easily can, and we handle the rest. We shift the lighter furniture, sofas, chairs and small tables, as part of the job, and protect the feet so nothing marks the damp carpet. Heavy wardrobes and beds we usually clean around rather than move.
The clean itself
What cleaning method do you use?
Hot-water extraction for most carpets, the deep-clean method most makers recommend. We inject hot water and a solution under pressure, then vacuum it straight back out, lifting the dirt from the base of the pile. For wool, viscose or a same-day job we switch to low-moisture cleaning. More in how hot-water extraction works.
How long do carpets take to dry?
Our machine extracts about 95% of the moisture, and the rest dries off within 6 to 7 hours, depending on how well the room is ventilated. Open windows and gentle heating help. Wool and viscose are cleaned with less moisture, so they can take a little longer. Opening a window speeds it up.
How often should carpets be professionally cleaned?
Every 12 to 18 months for most homes, the interval the Carpet and Rug Institute recommends, and often what keeps a manufacturer warranty valid. Bring it forward to every 6 to 12 months with pets, young children or anyone who has allergies.
Do you guarantee the work?
Yes. Every clean comes with our re-clean guarantee: if a spot we treated comes back within a week, we return and re-clean it free. We are also straight with you before we start about any old, set-in marks that may not fully lift, rather than after.
Stains, safety and health
Is carpet cleaning safe for children and pets?
Yes. The products are non-toxic, and the carpet is rinsed with hot water so there is no sticky residue left in the pile. Once it is dry, after 6 to 7 hours, the room is ready for the family and the dog again.
Do you remove pet stains and odours?
Yes. Pet accidents, urine odour and tracked-in mud are some of the most common jobs we do. We pre-treat the spot, then extract it. Old, set-in stains do not always lift completely, so we tell you honestly what to expect before we start.
Can carpet cleaning help with allergies and dust mites?
It can. Carpets trap house dust mites and the allergens that trigger asthma and hay fever, and a deep clean lifts that load out of the pile. Allergy UK notes that 60°C kills dust mites. More in how cleaning sanitises your carpets.
Can you clean wool, silk or other delicate carpets?
Yes, with care. Wool, silk and viscose can shrink or brown if they are over-wetted, so we test the fibre and switch to a low-moisture clean that uses far less water. Matching the method to the fibre is the part a hired machine cannot do.
Areas, tenancy and guarantee
Which London areas do you cover?
All 33 London boroughs, from the City out to the suburbs: Camden, Hackney, Wandsworth, Croydon, Ealing, Bromley and the rest. We are used to period flats, mansion-block communal stairs and the parking that comes with a ULEZ city. See our coverage across London to find your area.
Can carpet cleaning help me get my deposit back?
Often, yes. End-of-tenancy carpet cleaning is one of our most-booked jobs, and a freshly cleaned carpet is usually what the inventory clerk wants to see. We give you a dated receipt to pass to your landlord or letting agent.
