London Carpet Cleaning handles Haringey, from N8 Crouch End and N10 Muswell Hill down to N17 Tottenham and N22 Wood Green, from £36 a room and carpets dry within 6 to 7 hours. Haringey runs from Tottenham and Wood Green to the smarter streets of Crouch End, Muswell Hill and Highgate borders. Edwardian terraces and conversions dominate, with hills that make for plenty of stairs.

Crouch End and Muswell Hill conversions often have original stair runners; we clean those carefully without soaking the boards underneath. Every clean is guaranteed, most carpets are dry within 6 to 7 hours, and there is no call-out fee anywhere in Haringey.
Period stairs up the hill, rented flats on the flat below
Haringey changes as you come down the hill. Up top, N8 Crouch End, N10 Muswell Hill and the Highgate-border conservation streets are period terraces and villas, wool carpet, original staircases with a runner pinned down the middle and bare wood either side. Down on the flat, N17 Tottenham, N15 South Tottenham and N22 Wood Green near Alexandra Palace are denser, with converted flats, ex-council and a lot of rented homes on tougher synthetic carpet. N4 Finsbury Park and Manor House sit in between. The hill homes keep their old stairs and runners. The flatland homes turn over tenants and take heavier daily wear.
On the hill, the job we get most is stair runners and landing wool, plus a sitting-room refresh in a family house before Christmas or guests. We clean a pinned runner in place, low-moisture, so the bare boards either side of it never get soaked and a runner cleaned in the morning is dry by the evening. Lower down in Tottenham and Wood Green it leans toward rented flats at the end of a tenancy, where the carpet needs handing back clean with a dated receipt. Spurs play at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in N17, and the streets around it fill up on a match day.
Honest bit: an original runner pinned over bare wooden stairs is the one job we keep the water right down on. We clean it where it sits and never lift it, because soaking the timber underneath risks marking or cupping the boards, so a very heavily soiled old runner gets a gentle clean rather than a deep one and may not come up like new. We say so plainly. Parking is permit-controlled and tight up the hill in Crouch End and Muswell Hill. Tell us your road, and on a Spurs fixture day in N17 we book you around kick-off.

Haringey questions, answered
Can you clean a stair runner pinned over bare wooden steps?
Yes, and we clean it in place without lifting it. We keep the water right down, low-moisture, so the bare boards either side and the timber beneath never get soaked or marked. A very dirty old runner gets a gentle clean rather than a deep soak, so it may not look brand new, and we tell you that first.
Do Spurs match days affect when you can come to Tottenham?
They can. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is in N17, and on a fixture day the streets around it fill with traffic and parking goes. We check the fixture list and book your slot for a clear window, a morning or a non-match day, so we arrive on time and are not stuck in the crowd.
Which parts of Haringey do you cover?
All of it, hilltop and flatland. N8 Crouch End and Hornsey, N10 Muswell Hill, N4 Finsbury Park and Manor House, N15 South Tottenham, N17 Tottenham and N22 Wood Green by Alexandra Palace. We clean wool stairs and runners up the hill and synthetic carpet in the flats below, no call-out fee.
How do you clean old wool carpet in a Crouch End period house?
Wool we clean low-moisture, with much less water than synthetic carpet, so the pile does not over-wet, shrink or brown. Wool can still take a little longer to dry than synthetic. The tougher synthetic carpet common in the Tottenham and Wood Green flats takes hot-water extraction instead. We check the fibre when we arrive and clean to suit it.
My Muswell Hill house has the original stairs with bare wood beside the runner. Will the wood get wet?
No. We clean the runner in place and keep the moisture low on purpose, so the exposed boards either side stay dry and the timber underneath is never soaked. That protects the wood from marking or cupping. The runner takes up to 6 to 7 hours to dry, so a morning clean is back underfoot by the evening.
