Lincoln’s Inn is the largest of the four Inns of Court, an eleven-acre gated estate whose records run back to 1422. The estate is private and the Chancery Lane and Carey Street gates are for people on foot, with vehicles let through the Newman’s Row entrance by the porters. In practice we load in from a metered street on the perimeter and carry the gear across. There is no free parking in this part of Camden, so we plan the pitch before we arrive and keep it quick.
