Carpet & Sofa Cleaning in Maryland

Carpets that come up like new: dry the same day, fully guaranteed.

Carpet cleaning in Maryland

London Carpet Cleaning cleans carpets, sofas and rugs across Maryland, E15, from £36 a room and touch-dry in 1 to 2 hours. Fixed prices, no call-out fee, and a re-clean guarantee. We have worked these streets since 2009, from the terraces off Leytonstone Road to the newer flats by the station.

What Maryland homes are like

Maryland is the corner of north Stratford around its own station at Maryland Point, on the Elizabeth line between Stratford and Forest Gate. The station opened in 1873 as Maryland Point and was shortened to Maryland in 1940, and the spiralling clock sculpture by Malcolm Robertson now stands just outside it. Most of the housing is late-Victorian and Edwardian terraces along roads like Forest Lane, Crownfield Road and Leytonstone Road, much of it long since split into flats and conversions. A good share of those flats are private rentals, so the carpet we meet has often been through several tenancies. Newer apartment blocks have gone up near the station too, which brings the pale, short-pile carpet that shows every footprint.

The Cart and Horses pub on Maryland Point, an early gig venue for Iron Maiden, is the landmark most people use to place the area, and Forest Lane Park gives the streets to the north a patch of green with a playground and outdoor gym. Mud walked back from the park and grime tracked off the busy roads are the two things that age a Maryland carpet fastest.

What we see across Maryland

The job that comes up most here is the end-of-tenancy clean. With so many rented flats near the station, tenants move, deposits are on the line, and we are often in to reset a carpet a previous occupant left in a state. Makeup and fake-tan transfer in bedrooms, juice and food trodden into lounge carpet, candle wax dripped onto a sofa, and the general dinge that builds up over a couple of years are all routine for us. We hot-water-extract the carpet, lift what the machine and our pre-spray can lift, and leave it touch-dry in an hour or two so an inventory check or a viewing can go ahead the same day.

One honest point. Set-in dye stains, old fake tan and dried wax do not always come out to nothing. We get the overwhelming majority of it, but on some pale or delicate fabrics the very faintest shadow can remain where the colour has bonded to the fibre, and we would rather tell you that before we start than promise a miracle.

Carpet, upholstery and rug cleaning in Maryland

Our main job is hot-water carpet cleaning, the deep extraction method that suits both the wool and the mixed-fibre carpet you find in these flats. We also handle sofas and upholstery, including the sort of wax and dinner-party spill that lands on a settee, and rug cleaning with free collection and return, which is the easiest route for a big lounge rug that has taken a coffee spill. If you want the picture for the rest of the borough, our Newham carpet cleaning page covers it, and we also reach nearby Temple Mills and Manor Park.

Maryland questions, answered

Which Maryland streets and postcodes do you cover?

All of the E15 streets around Maryland station, including Leytonstone Road, Forest Lane, Crownfield Road, Trevelyan Road and the roads toward Maryland Point and Forest Gate. We cross freely into the wider E15 and into neighbouring Stratford and West Ham, so if you are on the edge of the area it is worth a quick call to confirm.

Is parking a problem for the van?

Much of Maryland falls inside the Forest Gate controlled parking zone, so the residential roads need a permit or a paid bay in the daytime. It is rarely a real obstacle. We allow for it, find a legal space nearby, and bring our hoses in from the street, so a permit zone does not change your price or hold up the clean.

Do you give a receipt for an end-of-tenancy clean?

Yes. We provide a dated receipt and invoice you can hand straight to a letting agent or landlord as proof the carpets were professionally cleaned. That paperwork is often what settles a deposit, and it is the reason a lot of departing tenants near the station book us in the first place.

How long do the carpets take to dry?

Usually one to two hours. Our extraction machine pulls most of the moisture back out, so you are left with damp, not wet, carpet. In a ground-floor or rear conversion flat with little airflow it can run a little longer, and we will open things up and advise on ventilation before we leave.

Every clean comes with our re-clean guarantee: if a spot we treated is not right, we come back and put it straight at no charge. We are fully insured and DBS-checked, and we have cleaned carpets, sofas and rugs across Maryland and the rest of Newham since 2009.

What our customers say in Maryland.

★★★★★
Moved into a flat near the station and the previous tenants had left the bedroom carpet in a right state, makeup and what looked like fake tan everywhere. Honestly didn't think it could be saved but the lad sorted it completely. Made the place feel ours.

Needed the carpets done for my end of tenancy so I'd get my deposit back. They gave me a receipt for the agent and the whole flat looked spotless. Landlord had no complaints and I got every penny back. Cheers.

Lovely job on a big rug that had a coffee spill and general grime from the lounge. Picked it up and dropped it back when they said. Smells fresh and clean now.

Had the lounge and the landing done before my mum visited from abroad. There was a stubborn juice stain by the telly the kids had ground in. All gone. Friendly and quick, would use again no question.

Our settee had a candle wax spill from a dinner that went a bit wrong. They got the wax out which I was amazed by. There is the faintest mark left on the fabric if you really look. Booking did get moved by a day which was slightly annoying as I'd taken time off, but the work itself was good.

Got a couple of mattresses cleaned in the new flat. Good job, came up fresh. He was a little later than the start of the window, about forty minutes, blamed parking round here which is fair enough. Otherwise solid.
