What Roxeth homes are like
Roxeth is the old hamlet that South Harrow grew out of, sat at the foot of Harrow on the Hill where six roads still meet at Roxeth Corner. The name is a worn-down version of Rooks Heath, and the heath was built over from the early 1800s using brick from the old works on Lower Road. That history shows in the floors we clean. Around Roxeth Hill, inside the conservation area adopted in 2008, you get Victorian terraces and cottages with solid walls and, near the top, larger late-Victorian townhouses with high ceilings and original fireplaces. George Gilbert Scott’s flint-faced Christ Church of 1862 sits on the hill above them.
Spread south and west from the corner and the stock changes to interwar semis, the bay-fronted 1930s kind that dominate streets like Roxeth Green Avenue and Eastcote Lane. South Harrow on the Piccadilly line is the local Tube, with Northolt Park a short walk the other way, and West Harrow on the Metropolitan sits just north of Roxeth Green. Northolt Road is the shopping spine, its parade lined with Sri Lankan and Polish grocers, and Roxeth Recreation Ground, which hosted the old Roxeth Show for years, gives the area its green lung and a fair bit of pitch mud that ends up on hallway carpets.

Is parking a problem around Northolt Road?
Parts of Northolt Road and the streets near South Harrow station fall inside the M3 controlled parking zone, which runs Monday to Saturday, roughly 8am to 6.30pm.
